Death panels are real. Trump and the GOP yesterday were celebrating the potential deaths of 20-40 thousand Americans per year that were estimated to die each year because of the passage of Trumpcare. You probably saw the newsfeeds from the Rosegarden where Republicans were slapping each other on the back, cheering and celebrating the passage of Trumpcare. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that 24 million Americans would lose their healthcare under the earlier failed version of Trumpcare. It didn’t matter that millions of Americans were worried and had concerns.
In their rush to jam the bill down the throats of Americans they did not even wait for a review before they took the vote. They knew the only way to get this past even members of their own party was by hiding the facts and through stealth and speed. The memory of how the tide turned against the 1st Failed Trumpcare bill after the Congressional Budget Office came out showing that 24 million Americans would lose their health care was fresh in Republicans’ memory. Trump and the Republicans didn’t want to risk telling the American people what they really were going to lose.
Remember these cuts are being made to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Because that is really who the Republican party supports. The GOP party doesn’t stand for Grand Old Party – the party representing you and me. GOP really stands for Guardians of Privilege.
